A solid pavement can last more than 30 years, while asphalt tends to crack and deform in hot weather. Because of its consistent and controlled dimensions, BAGATTINI paving is abrasion-resistant and crushproof; thanks to interlocking spacers and dry-laying, it is self-blocking and stable, while dry-laid stones tend to move easily and slabs laid on mortar have detachment problems due to the different thermal expansion of the two materials. Asphalt tends to decay or deform under the action of loads, winter frost and/or summer heat.
Resistant to weather and chemicals, BAGATTINI outdoor paving slabs are permeable, frost-proof in winter and able to break down the heat island in summer due to their porous structure.
BAGATTINI products have, in addition, abrasion and slip resistance characteristics at the highest level. In roadways, paving slabs allow for shorter braking distances.
BAGATTINI outdoor paving is also an advantageous solution in economic terms: both material and installation costs are significantly lower than any other material. They also require very little maintenance in the long run, resulting in reduced costs.
Laying is done “dry” in a short time and with the immediate possibility of using the paved surfaces. BAGATTINI pavements are modular: they can therefore be removed for maintenance or creation of underground utilities; they can even be removed and reused completely.
BAGATTINI self-locking slabs are the result of long research and experience in the production of vibrocompressed concrete products as well as special care in the finishing and composition of the concrete itself. Each line was created to meet the demand to combine high technical performance, such as high strength and durability, with aesthetic appearance.
The many sizes, colors and finishes in which self-locking paving slabs are offered allow individuals and designers to find the optimal solution for any architectural and environmental context.
